The Courses have been designed for students seeking a vocational education appropriate to the needs of the "Telecommunication Industry" at Edexcel/BTEC Higher National level. It is 16 modules – 4 semester programs. To receive HND, the student should complete all 16 modules successfully (Conditions applicable) with seven common skill areas. Telecommunication Engineering examines the students approach in Telecommunication Systems design, Installation and maintenance. It develops the knowledge and handling ability of Communication and Networking. It addresses the knowledge and skills required for the development of Telecommunication systems in a structured and professional manner.
Specific programs of study, shown below, are offered. In semester 4 along with the compulsory core unit Project four specialized units are presented. This is a great opportunity for the student to choose a field that he/she is more interested in. Here students are expected to choose three subjects out of four specialized units that are presented (excluding the project unit).
